This really is just a gripping
surface. It is decent
quality, with even/straight
edges that was easy to trim to
fit under our rug. However,
note that it's not really a
"pad" as it is so flat.
Although, it is represented
accurately by the photos, I
expected a bit more
depth/height. It does have a
slight-to-moderate chemical
smell so I recommend to open
and aerate outdoors before
bringing in house. I'd rather
have bought the kitchen shelf
rolls of this material to
secure the carpet position at
the corners and invested in a
real pad for truer softness.
A whole 8x10 pad of this
material seems a little
overkill.

wooden floor, don't skimp, buy
a pad. I didn't need to trim
mine but they would be easy
enough to trim if needed.
They really keep the rug in

rugs and these pads keep them
where they belong!

get. It is the same as "shelf
coverings" purchased at the
grocery store. It is, of
course, much wider and a good
fit under the rug purchased
and does keep my big

For $4.95, get it at the
grocery store and fit two
pieces together side by side.
Not as neat but much cheaper.

Upon opening the bag
containing the pad the gaseous
oder coming off the pad was so
strong the dog left the room
and went to the cellar, and I
threw the pad in the bathtub
and filled it and added
dishwashing detergent and
agitated the pad for half an
hour, had to repeat three
times to get the slipperiness
to leave. Spin in washer and
hang outside in sunshine and
breeze for two days to
thouroughly dry. If your
willing to do all this or put
up with the gassing off in
your house then its a nice pad.
